Keith Smithard – Trustee: Currently leading on School Partnerships and New Practices

Keith Smithard MA Ed, BA (Hons), NPQH Headteacher, Aboyne Lodge JMI School
 [NAHT President Herts branch].
Keith has been in the teaching profession for 25 years. Aboyne Lodge is his second Headship. He was previously Headteacher of a semi-rural half-form entry, Primary school.
Keith has been fortunate to work in a rich and varied range of settings during his career – including six years overseas in the Middle East.
Keith\u2019s recent and predominant work with Helga Todd has involved partnering with fellow trustees in building relationships with the Key Education Foundation in both Bangalore and the UK. His school, Aboyne Lodge, hosted several representatives and teachers from KEF in March 2025.
The key focus of this work was sharing expertise and good practice through collaboration and cultural exchange.
Keith is currently working towards broadening the scope of UK\/India Exchange programmes within his own broader school networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
