Chris Owen – Associate: Distance learning and NGO links.

Before retiring Chris worked in primary education in Inner London for over 40 years. Her roles included Headteacher, a secondment as Senior Lecturer in the Education Department at East London University, and Chair of Governors. She has an MA in Curriculum Management and Development.

In 2017, Chris and a partner Helga Todd volunteer, delivered a six- week CPD course to serving teachers in Sikh schools in Delhi. They followed this up by writing and delivering extended CPD training to two specified Delhi schools.

Recently Chris has been part of a team working with the Commonwealth Education Trust to support and monitor Teach 2030 online training to schools and NGOs in India and in Cameroon. This work is focused on building a partnership with NGOs in delivering new ways of teaching and learning to pre-service teachers across several states in India.
