The information we hold on our donors is as follows:

The information we hold on our supporters is as follows:

The information we hold on our programme participants is as follows:

We do not collect any special categories of personal data.

4.                   DATA USE

a. Most of the Personal Information we process is provided to us directly by the data subject or through our partner organisations to:  
i) Process Gift Aid
ii) Process remuneration and expenses
iii) Safeguard Participants & Partner Organisations
iv) Routine communication with employees, volunteers, and officers
v) Engage Supporters
vi) Manage and Monitor Programmes
b. We may share this information with External organisations to deliver our programme
c. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is your consent. You can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting the Data Controller ([email protected])

5.                   DATA STORAGE

We are committed to ensuring information is secure and have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard it. 

  1. Employees, volunteers, and officer’s data will be held for three years from when they cease to represent the charity
  2. Prospective employees, volunteers and officer’s data will be held for one year.
  3. Supporter Data will remain on our mailing list unless you choose to unsubscribe. 
  4. Donor information will be retained for seven years.
  5. Programme Participant data will be held for five years from completing their programme. 

6.                   YOUR RIGHTS

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  1. Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 
  2. Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 
  3. Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 
  4. Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 
  5. Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  6. Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
  7. You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
