OUR WORK WITH EARLY YEARS EDUCATION IN INDIA.
It is an exciting time to be working in education in India!
The Indian government has recently introduced its new Education Policy and Curriculum Guidance NEP 2020.
HTTEF has now established a valued partnership with one of these new and growing education centres –
Key Education Foundation [KEF] Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Key Education Foundation [KEF] Bangalore. KEF is a young and dynamic Indian NGO, whose prime focus is training teachers in providing the exciting and challenging active learning skills required to promote the new curriculum

VISITS TO THE UK
In 2023 KEF representatives visited a number of Early Years settings in the UK to observe how teachers manage resource centred and active learning contexts. It was a useful opportunity for all involved to exchange ideas about different teaching and learning settings and approaches, and to identify and compare key teaching similarities along with relevant cultural variations…..It was important for our teacher visitors from India, to consider how they might adapt some of the practical ideas and activities observed in UK Early Years classes within the context of Indian culture.

Bangalore
EXCHANGE VISITS
We have since set up a teacher exchange programme where UK teachers visit and work with schools in Bangalore and alternatively our colleagues in Bangalore, visit schools in the UK

THE FUTURE
Along with exchange visits we are currently supporting KEF’s approaches to in service training by providing ideas from UK settings that can be adapted to work in the context of India’s private and government schools.
Helga Todd Foundation is looking forward to continuing its partnership with KEF and exploring different forms of collaboration in the future!
