Marion Thomas – Trustee: Currently leading on volunteering and teacher exchange.

Prior to retirement, Marion was an experienced primary teacher who held a variety of roles including SENCO, professional development coordinator and headteacher in multicultural London schools.
Between 2016 and 2018 Marion delivered CPD courses on ‘active learning’ for primary and secondary teachers in Delhi. She also wrote, contributed to and advised on the delivery of an Early Years professional development course whilst supporting UK volunteer teachers to deliver this programme.
In another role, Marion made a key contribution to the placing of newly qualified and retired teacher volunteers in a range of schools across India.
 After 2020, she sought to broaden the range of Helga Todd work through engaging with new partners such as Key Education Foundation, Bangalore.
 Marion has recently organised several successful teacher exchange visits where Indian teachers have been placed in UK schools and UK teachers have shared teaching ideas in Bangalore.
