Anne Dobson – Associate: University links.

Anne qualified as an English teacher after a spell in Arts administration. Her subsequent cross phase experience in education included work as a teacher trainer, adviser and examiner.

Anne has worked with Helga Todd since 2011, initially co-planning and assessing Helga Todd’s two-year early years training course for young Sikh women in Chandigarh, North India.

Anne taught on this successful course for five months, alongside partner trainers and Indian colleagues

From 2016 to 2019, Anne co-managed a series of six-week placements in Indian schools for newly qualified teachers at the start of their careers. This was enabled through a strong partnership with Oxford University, Department of Education.

Anne has made frequent visits to India in subsequent years building on her initial enthusiasm and interest in improving life chances and education for young Indian women.
